Video 5 (FWD) - "Editing CSS Live in Firefox"

Sunday, October 8, 2006

Here's another video from my Firefox for ASP.NET Developers series. This version was for Firefox 1.0, but all the concepts move right into Firefox 2.0. Also, this video is a lesson on why sounds checks are critically important! So yeah... sorry about that, you may need headphones or LOUD speakers to hear this one.

This video covers editing CSS live in Firefox; that is, the ability to see the results of your work key-stroke for key-stroke. This is the program that turned me from an independent IEvangelist to a Firefox promoter.

This video is for a wide range of people. It's for people who are developers and don't really know anything about CSS (if all you use CSS for is fonts and colors... you probably don't know CSS, but just know the "SS" part of "CSS".) It's also for people who know some CSS, but want resources on how to learn it better. It's even for people who know nothing about development, but rather just have an interest in making a website. Lastly (well, there's probably more audiences), it's for web designers who have been so deep in a cave that they know know about this incredibly time saving feature. Anyhow, there's no programming in it. It's all CSS.

How is all different than FireBug?

Videos 1 and 3 are still useful. However, since the videos are from mid-2005, Firebug does replace a few other things.
